Morty was the first rat I’ve ever had, and what an amazing rat he was. I was a little afraid of him at first but he changed with lots of kisses. He was very loving and affectionate. He was also very attached to me, one time he was sitting on my shoulder and i set him down on the counter. I watched to see what he did, he sniffed the air then turned to face me, got up on his hind legs and reached for me like a toddler. He always did adorable things like that. Unfortunately I blame myself for his getting sick. I keep thinking I should have acted sooner. I miss him so much I just cant believe a rat could touch my heart so much. God hold Morty for me in heaven.
